Information

Ludlow is undeniably one of the most charming and picturesque towns in England. Although in recent years it has become most famous for its food, it is also a champion for independent shops, culture, and of course its history - with a magnificent Norman castle at its heart.

Ludlow Car Parking:

The three main car parks in the centre of Ludlow are at Upper Galdeford (Co-op). Lower Galdeford (Smithfield) and Castle Street. They operate on a pay-and-display basis. There is on-street parking in the town centre (central red zone) with pay-and-display. Further out from the town (blue zone) is free but time restricted.

Ludlow Park & Ride:

This is based at the Eco Business Park (at the first island that you come to when driving from Caynham Camp Cottage into Ludlow). Follow road signs to the park and ride.If using a Sat Nav the post code is SY8 1ES.

Food & Drink:

Ludlow has a fine array of independent food shops in and around the town centre which we would recommend that you explore during your stay. Ludlow is famous for its butchers and its sausages in particular.

Ludlow Markets:

The famous Ludlow market takes place in the castle square on the following days:
General Market
: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Specialist market days: Thursdays or Sundays
